News Reporting

Lead the on-air live reporting on September 11th for 2 stations (WOKS and WEAM) from the time of the second plane and on-going for 13 hours.

Coordinated station promotional events, maintained correspondence and execution of projects, liaison for the label and artists and the station.

 

AFLAC- as an experienced computer systems analyst was given the opportunity to work in the Electronic On-line Department of the IMS Division (Internal Maintenance System).  Department responsible for the updating and creating of detailed documents within a PC environment (extensive use of Word and Excel) and programming the images within the mainframe system (COBOL).  Was given large portion of priority projects due to the ability to complete projects in less than half the estimated time without errors in final submission.  Motivated department to increase their pace with enthusiasm and produce error-free output by applying additional checks from fellow-employees prior to submission.  Introduced an updated methodology, which enable the department to run more efficiently by familiarizing the other department managers of the importance of providing the requested information within the methodology.

 

TSYS- held position of ENDEVOR administrator (configuration management specialist).  Created and maintained existing mainframe systems; worked closely with Methodology, Testing, Migration Support and Operations as well as all vice presidents and mangers within TSYS.  Responsibilities also included: maintaining statistics and documents; assisting in training colleagues about the configuration management system; answering daily questions, concerns and problems within the system from other department and providing solutions and assistance while still on the phone (when possible).

 

NY College of Podiatric Medicine held position of Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Community Relations.  Managed office implemented public functions, worked closely with public officials (President of Chamber of Commerce, President of Black Chamber of Commerce of Greater Harlem, Congressman Charles Rangel, etc.).  Sat on several community boards, conducted several health fair and symposiums, and taught a special class for medical residents that trained them in how to talk to, listen to patients as well as cope with the stress found in their profession.

 

CRT Communication- held position as Office Manager (company total: 50 employees total -which included 30 telemarketers).  Worked directly for President.  Trained telemarketers in Sales Division, Customer Service Division, and Return Customer Division (unit that attempted to retrieve lost accounts to competitors).  Also responsible for Account Payable and Payroll.
